Good Food Awards: McKenzie judges snack category

McKenzie realized a dream that she thought would require many more years of professional toil and strife: to become a judge in a nationally-recognized food competition: The Good Food Awards.

For a long time, certifications for responsible practices and awards for superior taste have remained distinct – one honors social and environmental responsibility, while the other celebrates craftsmanship and flavor. The Good Food Awards recognizes that truly good food – the kind that brings people together and builds strong, healthy communities – contains all of these ingredients.

There are 17 categories each more delicious than the next, but none quite as delightful to judge as the Snack category (sorry, Grains). It was a day for the books - the country’s best snacks just waiting to be sampled, scrutinized and celebrated!
