Meghan launches Bay Area Sustainable Sourcing Group

In 2014, Meghan joined the Bay Area Sustainable Sourcing Group - an elite group of large scale purchasers in the Bay Area with the goal of using their collective purchasing power to shift producers to more sustainable production practices. Meeting once a month, food purchasers from Bay Area Universities as well as large tech companies in the area formed a coalition that focused on one product per quarter to discuss and deep dive on potential improvements. In the Winter of 2016 Meghan hosted a symposium on Sustainable egg farming hosting Skyelark Ranch, Alexandre Family Farm and Free Spirit Farm for a discussion around the true cost of eggs and how to improve the supply chain.
