Bar Norman

Favorite bar of Foodmuse Co-Founder, McKenzie, Bar Norman is a Portland institution. Opened in 2018 by local legend, Dana Frank, Bar Norman is a gathering place for a vibrant and diverse community. They host Solera, a wine social for women, trans and non-binary people, and are the powerhouse behind Wild Bunch, Oregon’s flagship natural wine fair. Dana & her team are on a mission is to celebrate and make accessible the dynamic world of natural wine, while also setting aside dogma and exclusivity. For one small local bar, their remit was extraordinary; and to casual onlookers, it seemed like so many of the events that infuse Portland with a sense of culture and curiosity were conceived by Bar Norman. Every week, they seemed to be promoting some special party or community gathering, but the result of so many bespoke events - each with unique one-time promotional branding - was that the Bar Normand brand was somewhat diluted.

Cautious of losing their own brand amidst an Instagram feed full of collabs, Dana enlisted the help of Foodmuse to create a set of branded templates to add some visual continuity to their social media presence.
