Old Chatham Country Store

Since its establishment in the 1750s, the Old Chatham Country Store has been a gathering place for generations of Columbia County neighbors. Part store, part café, part restaurant, this space is deeply rooted in community and mired in tradition. Therefore, it was incredibly important to the new owners, Caroline Jaquiss & Jack Kearney, that their iteration of the store honor its legacy while still attracting a new community of Hudson Valley residents and transients alike.

Therefore, Foodmuse developed a brand expression that was equal parts familiar and fresh. We wanted the brand to evoke nostalgia and novelty; history and reverie. We embraced a more traditional color palette, while opting for expressive fonts - all complemented by a cheeky little logo who can only be characterized as a gadabout.
