IDEO.

IDEO was in a unique position: they were in the process of completing construction on a new San Francisco headquarters while also trying to navigate their return to work policy as COVID-19 restrictions began to relax. 

In partnership with the Just Fare team, we began by gaining a comprehensive understanding of who IDEO is as a company and what they wanted their food program to achieve. Through workshops, we established a new food-specific Mission, Vision and Values to guide the rest of our work. 

Pre-pandemic, they had partnered with a kitchen designer to design a flexible catering space. We partnered with their Workplace Team to define office food offerings that reflect their company values. We programmed each food space and created evergreen programming that their Workplace Team will roll out when they welcome employees back into their new HQ in Spring 2022. This programming includes working with a handful of local, values-aligned caterers to bring the vibrant Mission neighborhood into their offices. We also designed a bespoke pop-up program with diverse vendors to surprise and delight the IDEO employees.
