McKenzie becomes Pineapple SFs City Lead

McKenzie first learned of Pineapple Collaborative shortly after its debut in 2015. Inspired by their mission to amplify the impact of women in the food industry, McKenzie never missed a podcast episode or #pinefor pantry post.

Three years later, in 2018, McKenzie was asked to moderate a Pineapple panel entitled “Eat Your Values”, where she had the honor of taking the stage alongside three women living out their values with every meal that they make themselves or that they influence through their work.

High on the Pineapple elixir, McKenzie later hosted a Pineapple event at her workplace, welcoming 50+ food-loving women to join in a discussion about career changes that allowed four female founders to tackle their culinary aspirations.

Most recently, McKenzie had the opportunity to apply to represent Pineapple Collaborative on behalf of the Bay Area. Ever inspired by founders Ariel Pasternak and Atara Bernstein, she accepted the position and dreams of a near future where her community can once again gather to celebrate the women of the Bay Area and their incredible contributions to our food culture.
