Side Eye Pie
Foodmuse teamed up with Brand Strategist, Nikki Freihofer, and Graphic Designer, Evan Sornstein, to oversee the Brand Strategy, Development, and Implementation for a new food truck concept located at the beloved Meanwhile Brewery.
What we learned while codifying the brand pillars is that Side Eye wasn’t going to borrow from other pizza philosophies, but instead create a pizza menu that was uniquely Austin. This comes through in their sourcing ethos but also in their brand promise: weird, wild and wonderful pizza.
The visual expression needed to also capture the same spirit: friendly and approachable but with its own unique character. Inspired by this idea of characters, we created six distinct personas, each exemplifying one meaning of the term <side eye>. Dubious, flirty, wacky or sassy, the Side Eye brand has something for everyone.
